Get Signed URL

Overview

Generate a time-limited signed URL for downloading a rendered highlight video.

This endpoint only works for highlights where video rendering was enabled (render_videos.render_video set to ffmpeg). Highlights created without rendering will return a 404.

Signed URLs let you control access duration and can be regenerated as needed, as long as the video is still within its retention window.

Path Parameters

Parameter	Type	Description
`highlight_id`	string	The highlight ID (from the list highlights endpoint or task results)

Query Parameters

Parameter	Type	Required	Description
`expiry`	integer	No	Seconds until the signed URL expires. Default: `900`. Min: `900` (15 minutes), max: `86400` (24 hours).
`download`	boolean	No	If true, the signed URL will force a browser download instead of inline display. Default: `false`.
`variant`	string	No	Video variant to sign. Use `9_16` for portrait (9:16) video, or `1_1` for the MMA square (1:1) variant when available. Defaults to landscape (16:9).

Response Fields

Field	Type	Description
`signed_url`	string	Pre-signed download URL for the video. Valid for the requested `expiry` duration.
`expires_in_seconds`	integer	Number of seconds until the signed URL expires (matches the requested `expiry` value).

Errors

Status	Description
`401`	Invalid or missing API key
`404`	Edit not found, or does not belong to the authenticated customer
`410`	Video has been deleted (retention period expired)

Typical Flow

List highlights with GET /highlights to get highlight IDs
Call GET /highlights/{highlight_id}/signed-url?expiry=3600
Use the returned signed_url to download the video
If the URL expires, call the endpoint again to get a fresh one
