Overview

When you set render_video to "ffmpeg" in your task configuration, rendered highlight clips are automatically uploaded and organized in your account dashboard at app.narrative-sports.com.

How It Works

Each task with rendering enabled creates a project in your dashboard, automatically associated with your account. The project is named after the team names you provide (e.g., “Barcelona vs Real Madrid” for soccer, “Oliveira vs Makhachev” for MMA — team_names accepts fighter names as well), or defaults to a timestamp-based name if no team names are set. As highlights are detected during your live stream, rendered clips are uploaded to the project in real time. You can:
  • Review and play back highlight clips
  • Download individual clips
  • Manage and organize your projects

Configuration

Rendering is controlled by the render_videos object when calling Create Task or Assign Task:

Render Disabled

When render_video is set to "none", no video clips are rendered or uploaded. Highlight detection still runs, but no clips appear in your dashboard.

MMA Multi-Fight Cards

When your stream is an MMA fight card containing multiple fights, the dashboard automatically switches to a per-fight view: each fight is collapsed into a card showing the fighters, result (KO/TKO/SUB/DEC with the finishing round), and a hero thumbnail from the finishing clip. Expanding a fight reveals highlights grouped into Pre-fight (walkouts, intros), Round 1, Round 2, … (dynamic, up to as many rounds as the fight went), Post-fight (decision / official result announcement), and an Inter-fight filler section that’s collapsed by default. The grouping is driven by the fight_number, round_number, and fight_name metadata the worker tags on each highlight. See Multi-Fight Cards for the full data contract if you’re building your own UI against the API.
